Our IT Staff is doubling

I’m very excited, as we’ve hit a landmark in IT staffing in my church. I interviewed an intern today, and if we are to hire this guy, we’ll double our IT staff. I’ve been on staff since February, and I’m the first IT guy to ever be employed by the church.

This is cool to me for a number of reasons.

    1. Now, I’ll have someone who understands why I’m excited or frustrated about things.
    2. Now, I’ll be able to bounce ideas off of someone who understands computronics
    3. Now, I’ll be able to have help on the HelpDesk (it’s my least favorite part of IT – it makes me grumpy)
    4. Now, we’ll be able to accomplish some projects that we couldn’t previously accomplish.
    5. Now, I’ll be able to spend more time on communication and marketing tasks

      Well, I’m happy about this – even though it’s not really blogworthy.
