Day 9: Free postage
If you get a business reply envelope from a company, use it to send mail back. Don’t pay postage if you don’t have to.
Our finance team is already doing this for bills from companies – there’s just no need to pay postage when the vendor will do it for us. Conversely, if you are turning in an invoice for payment and the company had included a business reply envelope, make sure to pass that on to our finance team. Each time we do that, we put 41 cents back into ministry rather than administration. It’s a small victory, but it’s a victory nonetheless.
