Final Weigh In

Well, the final weigh in for our Biggest Loser competition was today.  I’m still hoping that this thing hasn’t been some sort of April Fool’s Day prank.  I’ve got to say that it has been an incredible journey.  I keep having people come up to me and say, “Man, you look good.”

I’ve taken off 50 pounds in the last 114 days - that’s 18.8% of my starting body weight.  I’ve got to admit that I’m psyched!  I was in high school the last time I was this weight.  I’m so motivated to lose more now, and I’ve been able to build some real disciplines in my life.

This morning I got a rough awakening to see that Jason had caught up with me.  I wasn’t sure that I was going to be able to beat him even though I had held the lead this whole time.  Way to go Jason!  Not all the results are in at this point, and I suppose it’s not midnight in everyone’s time zone for about another 5 hours.  But, so far, our group of church IT guys has lost 356 pounds.  So, even though not everyone is getting a GPS, it looks like everyone is a winner in this thing.

Props to all the losers, particularly Jason (18.14%), Ed (16.53%), Tony (12.23%), and Chad (11.81%).  Every contestant lost weight – from 5 to 50 pounds.  Those in the double digits were Jason and Ed (39 lbs each), Chad and Bryson (28 lbs each), Dave (26 lbs), Tony (23 lbs), Matt (20 lbs), Caleb (18 lbs), Andrew and Derek (16 lbs each).

Way to go to everyone who participated!  Thanks Jason for putting it all together!
