New Web site launched

I have been working for the last couple of weeks on a new Web site design for our church.  There are plusses and minues still, and I have a long list of items still left to do, but I felt like it was time to get this thing out the door.  Now, when ACS gets around to implementing my needs for Facility Scheduler, we’ll really be in business!

Check out the new site, and  compare it to the old site.

I’m no expert designer, but I’d love to hear your comments, critiques, and questions.

Are you using Extend? If not, what are you using and why not Extend?

@s - I’m not having any problems with the links. It’s possible that the change hasn’t reached your DNS server yet. I made the DNS change at midnight last night, and it does take some time to reach the world.

@Mitchell - We’re not using Extend. I weighed the pros and cons very carefully, but ended up using Wordpress to manage the site for a number of reasons. Most notably, I have complete control. I’m not quite sure if it’s a hubris thing or if it really matters, but I’m much happier when I have control of the Web site. Extend is an awesome publishing platform for smaller churches. I would not hesitate using them for even a minute if you don’t have a full time techno-geek on staff.
