I was reading the Digital@LeadNet blog today, and DJ was talking about mobile versions of church Web sites. I’ve been running a mobile version of fbcbelton.org for quite a while, but DJ spurred on some good ideas today.
First, shame on me, I didn’t include service times on the site. I fixed that today… that’s a biggie. I have always had directions on the site, but I’m going to work tomorrow to make those a little friendlier. Inspired by National Community Church’s mobile site, I added keypad shortcuts for those who don’t have a touch screen phone. I’ll also work to make the mobile version a bit prettier. Just black text on a white background for the time being.
Does your church do mobile? Why not?
