I’m following Dean’s lead and posting about thankfulness.
It’s easy to get unthankful. We think that we’re the only ones with financial problems. With the DOW falling below 8,000, thousands of Americans being laid off, rising food costs, and more, we sometimes start to curse God. I don’t need to tell you that most of the world has it much worse than you do.
I’m taking time this week to thank God for what I do have. He has given me so much, and it would be a shame if I didn’t stop and give Him the glory He deserves. First and foremost, I’m thankful for salvation. I know that because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, I no longer have to pay the price for my sin. I will be able to spend eternity with the Creator.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron. (Psalm 107:13-16)
Thanks Matthew for the link back but most importantly THANK YOU for reminding us all, including me, we have it SOOOOOOO much better than we realize!
